Posted by Mike Lopez in Blog on January 25, 2011
Plugins are now an integral part of just about any WordPress site. It’ll be very seldom for anyone to come across a WordPress powered site that does not use at least one plugin. In fact, most sites I’ve seen have 10 or more plugins running that enhances their blog.
But first, what are plugins? Here’s a quick definition from WordPress itself. Read the rest of this entry »

Think Smart, Work Smart
Posted by Mike Lopez in Blog on January 24, 2011

Are you smart enough?
In a world where the majority are trained brainwashed to think hard and work hard, it is hard to imagine why so many out there fail in being productive with whatever they’re doing. After all, shouldn’t the chap who thinks hard and works hard be the one to earn more? But it doesn’t seem to be so in the real world and I think I know why.
Don’t Sell to Increase Sales
Posted by Mike Lopez in Blog on January 22, 2011
Did you already know that the most successful marketers don’t sell too much? I know it sounds crazy but that’s true for many, if not all, A-class marketers out there. Are you in for their secret?
Instead of focusing on selling, the really good marketers focus on building relationships with their prospective clients. Instead of pitching their product, they build trust. I know this is hard to do if you are still to make your first sale and I understand that feeling of success when you close your first deal. But what comes after that?
Too Much Analysis Leads to Paralysis

Are you locked in analysis mode?
Being analytical is a good thing. In fact, the greatest people in the world often analyse things before they decide on doing something. Analysis is a very important step when making decisions in life whether it be for business or not. But as the saying goes, “too much of anything is not good”.

There are risks everywhere and the same is true for rewards. Some rewards are easy to get and require relatively little or no risk at all. However, the biggest rewards often require huge risks and that’s where the greatest people shine.

Why I Don’t Have Another Facebook Profile
Posted by Mike Lopez in Blog on January 18, 2011
It’s been told by many that you should separate your personal stuff from your business in Facebook. I’m not writing this blog post to prove them wrong. Rather I’m writing this to explain why I only have one Facebook profile and keep everything in that one place.
Word of Warning: I am not telling you to do what I do. Do what you think is best for you.
2 WordPress Plugins for Going Mobile Compatible
Posted by Mike Lopez in Blog on January 17, 2011
I just made this blog easier to read and share on mobile devices last Friday and it was way easier than I thought it would be. A couple of plugins and added a sidebar widget and that’s it! Oh the beauty of WordPress!
But why should I go through all the trouble? More people are using mobile devices nowadays to read blogs and ignoring them is no longer an option. I personally still prefer to read blogs on my computer but that’s because I’m in front of it most of the time. There are people on the other hand who spend most of their time “on-the-go” and so the best way for them to read blogs is through their cellphones.
7 Steps to Managing Blogging Time
Posted by Mike Lopez in Blog on January 15, 2011

The blogger’s dilemma is the maintenance of his blog especially if the blogger maintains his blog on his own. With no help around, the blogger struggles to keep is blog updated with new blog posts as often as he could but eventually burns out and just forgets about the blog.
After some time, the blogger looks at his blog again and once more feels the passion to revive it and goes into the same dilemma all over again repeating the same cycle once more. If this is you then read on. If not, then still read on and post your comments and suggestions at the end for the poor blogger who is currently in this situation.
Why You Must Hire Someone to Help You
Posted by Mike Lopez in Blog on January 14, 2011
So you’re starting your first business and you are wondering whether or not you must hire an employee to help you out in your business. Many people will advise you against it and most of the time these people have no experience in business at all or they tried but failed and never tried again.
Before I answer this question, I want you to look around you and check if the successful businesses around you have at least one employee. Do they? What does it tell you?
